Mike Bertrand ,DPT, Cert.DN ,Cert VRS Physical Therapist /Co-Owner

Mike graduated Franklin Pierce University in 2016 with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Since then Mike has been practicing Orthopedics and treating a wide variety of patients including post-operative, acute injuries, chronic pain and difficulty with balance. Mike also gained experience in an Acute care hospital setting where he treated patients in the hospital directly after orthopedic injuries, joint replacements, and neurological injuries including strokes.
Prior to studying Physical Therapy, Mike obtained his Bachelors of Science in Applied Exercise Science from University of New England in 2010. Mike served as a personal trainer in Kennebunk and Scarborough from 2010-2013. During his experience personal training Mike found his true passion was in eliminating pain and preventing injury.
Mike prides himself in learning and providing exceptional physical therapy. Mike is Certified in Dry needling, and taken advanced course work in spinal manipulation. Mike is also STMT-1 certified, designating advanced training in using metal instruments for soft tissue mobilization. Mike obtained his Cert-VRS designating his as a Vestibular Rehabilitation Specialist. Since graduating, Mike has also taken other coursework including coursework in geriatric exercise and complicated orthopedic conditions.
Mike grew up in New Hampshire but always knew he wanted to live in Coastal Maine since vacationing to Ogunquit Maine as a child. Mike enjoys spending time with his family including his wife Stephanie, his daughter Poppy, and his dog Beau. Mike also enjoys salt-water fishing, paddleboarding, grilling/cooking, as well as some gardening.
